Course objectives and basic requirements:
This course aims to introduce a fundamental knowledge of fiber communication technology, providing students with an in-depth engineering training in their capability of both analyzing and solving problems in the field. It is required in the course to grasp basic operation principles and fabrication procedures of optical fibers, as well as to gain a broad view of fiber-optical networks, key components and functional modules therein.
Course introduction:
This course mainly focuses on the fundamental knowledge of fiber communication technology. It starts with basic operation principles and fabrication procedures of optical fibers and broadly view the fundamental structures and functions of fiber-optical networks, especially key components and functional modules therein.
