Course objectives and basic requirements:
By learning this course, the students should master the basic knowledge of Fiber Optic Communication Networks. They are required to learn the introduction of SDH transmission networks, IP and ATM networks, the basis of WDM network elements, design of WDM networks, some knowledge of network management and protection, optical access networks and OPS networks, promoting their ability of analyzing and solving problems.
Course introduction:
This course gives the lectures of the introduction of basic concepts of communication networks and Optical networks, introduction of SDH transmission networks, IP and ATM networks, the basis of WDM network elements, design of WDM networks, some knowledge of network management and protection, optical access networks and OPS networks.
