Great news! Zhejiang University won outstanding awards in the Ninth National University Students’ Opt-Sci-Tech Competition

From August 30 to 31, 2021, the finals of the Ninth National University Students’ Opt-Sci-Tech Competition will be held in the form of an online physical competition at Shenzhen University.


The Ninth National University Students’ Opt-Sci-Tech Competition is sponsored by the Chinese Optical Society. The competition is in the charge of its committee and undertaken by Shenzhen University. A total of 1,925 projects from 227 universities across the country and 9,201 teachers and students signed up for this competition. The number of participating universities, projects, teachers and students is unprecedent. After the preliminary selection of seven sub-regions of North China, Northeast China, Northwest China, Southwest China, Central China, Southeast China and East China, 233 teams from 89 universities and 1088 teachers and students advanced to the final competition, of which 57 universities, 119 teams, 555 teachers and students entered the physical finals of the national competition.

 

Zhejiang University sent a total of 5 teams to participate in the physical finals of Ninth National University Students’ Opt-Sci-Tech Competition. After intense online physical competition and defense demonstration competition, Zhejiang University won 3 first prizes and 2 second prizes.

 

Zhejiang University won the Outstanding Organization Award in this competition.

 

Wang Kaiwei, Wang Liqiang, and Yuan Bo from COSE won the Outstanding Instructor Award.
