Super resolution imaging based on SNR enhancement and background removal

Sep29

Optical super-resolution microscopy has made great progress in recent years, but its wide application is limited by its complex system and specific dye labeling. Scientists have been trying to explore a simple, effective, universal and high-resolution optical imaging method.     Recently, Professor Liu Xu and Professor Kuang Cuifang's research group have made a long review paper on super-resolution imaging based on SNR enhancement and background removal. This paper systematically introduces the current mainstream in super-resolution technologies, such as single molecule positioning imaging, stimulated radiation loss imaging, structured light illumination imaging, etc., which are widely used in the field of biology and physics, and introduces some recent improved technologies from four aspects of instrument, fluorescent dye, light path and algorithm. This work not only covers a large number of fluorescence imaging techniques, but also deeply discusses many imaging methods including non fluorescence imaging and nonlinear imaging techniques, which has high guiding significance for relevant imaging technicians. The research results were published in Laser & Photonics reviews (IF= 10.655)Li, Chuankang Li, Le Vannhu, Wang Xiaona, Hao Xiang, Liu Xu, and Kuang Cuifang.
