On December 12, 2020, the Forum of Frontier Optical Communication 2020 was held at ZJU’s International Campus, Haining. This forum was organized by ZJU’s College of Optical Science and Engineering Zhejiang University, ZJU International Research Center of Advanced Photonics, the International Joint Research Center of Optoelectronics Technology, Joint International Research Laboratory of Photonics, State Key Laboratory of Modern Optical Instruments Zhejiang University, and Chinese laser press. Professor DAI Daoxin from College of Optical Science and Engineering served as the chairman of the conference. Scholars from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Soochow University, Danish University of Science and Technology, National Research Institute of Canada and other universities and research institutes, as well as 40 experts from optical companies such as China Telecom, China Unicom, Huawei, Finisar, etc. came to the forum. This forum was conducted through thematic reports combined online and offline, and was conducted in the form of on-site discussion and exchange.
The forum conducted discussions from three aspects: optical communication network, optical communication system, and optical communication devices. It was hosted by Professor Shen Gangxiang from Soochow University, Professor Tang Ming from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Liu Liu from Zhejiang University. Experts conducted nearly 20 theme reports, introduced the development status of the optical communication field, and discussed the development trend of future technology. At the end of the forum, the chairman of the conference, Professor Dai Daoxin, made a summary. On December 13, the forum closed smoothly.
This forum provides a high-level academic exchange platform for experts and scholars in the field of optical communications, promotes the technological development of optics, optoelectronics, and optical communications. It studies and judges the future development trend of optical communications, and provides reference to the development of the optical communications industry.
