President of ZJU and Director of Haining City visited the Advanced Photonics International Research Center

On the morning of November 29, 2020, the Zhejiang University-Haining Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Committee meeting was held at ZJU’s International Campus. Under the auspices of Vice President He Lianzhen, President of Zhejiang University, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences Wu Zhaohui and Secretary of Haining Municipal Party Committee Zhu Jianjun jointly unveiled the landing of the Di Dawei team of Zhejiang Province's "Kunpeng Project" plan in Haining. Afterwards, President Wu Zhaohui, Secretary Zhu Jianjun, Vice President He Lianzhen, Vice President Huang Xianhai visited the Advanced Photonics International Research Center.

Under the guidance and explanation of Professor Dai Daozin, director of the International Research Center of Advanced Photonics, the school leaders and Haining City leaders learned in detail about the research center's organizational structure, construction progress, and future planning and development directions. Accompanied by Deputy Director Ma Yungui and Professor Qian Jun of the research center, the group visited the laser remote sensing laboratory, listened to Professor Liu Chong's explanation of the latest research results of the laser remote sensing team, and watched the experimental data of the lidar test on the spot. Then, in the biophotonics laboratory under the charge of Professor Si Ke, the group watched a demonstration of analyzing the results of bioimaging using a high-performance computing workstation. Subsequently, under the explanation of Professor Di Dawei, the group learned in detail about the latest research directions of the Flexible Optoelectronics Laboratory and the future research content to be carried out after the "Kunpeng Project" is launched. Finally, in the integrated optics laboratory and sub-wavelength optics laboratory, the group observed the test and analysis experiments of integrated optical chips. After the visit, the leaders of the city-school cooperation meeting highly affirmed the work of the research center and placed high hopes for the future development of the research center.
