The Fourth Committee of the China Federation of Returned Overseas ChineseYouth Committee was held in Beijing from November 7th to 9th, 2019. Theresearcher Di Dawei of our college was appointed as the fourth standingcommittee member of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese YouthCommittee. During the committee, Researcher Di Dawei and the delegates acceptedthe collective meeting with You Quan, Member of the Secretariat of the CPCCentral Committee and the Head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee,Baima Chilin, the Vice chairman of the StandingCommittee of the National People's Congress, Zheng Jianbang, the Vice chairmanof the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and other nationalleaders in the Great Hall of the People. A total of nearly 500 young membersfrom 93 countries and regions attended the Fourth Committee of the ChinaFederation of Returned Overseas Chinese Youth Committee.
Attachment: A Brief introduction to DiDawei
Di Dawei graduated from the School ofPhotovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of New SouthWales, Australia, then studied for a Ph.D. in photovoltaic engineering from theUniversity of New South Wales and a Ph.D. in physics from the CavendishLaboratory at the University of Cambridge, UK. He was selected into theNational Youth Talent Program and returned to China and be a researcher at thecollege of Optical Science and Technology, Zhejiang University. Due to hisgreat contributions in the field of organic light-emitting diodes(OLED) andperovskite light-emitting diodes(PeLED), he was named "35 people under 35years old in science and technology innovation of China" by "MITTechnology Review" in 2018, and "35 people under 35 years old inscience and technology innovation in the world" in 2019, and won the"Pioneer" ", "inventor" title.
