Students from University of Rochester conduct Research Projects at COSE

From June 3rd to June 21st of 2019, 6undergraduates majoring Optics from University of Rochester (UR) visited the Collegeof Optical Science and Engineering (COSE) of Zhejiang University for conductingthree-week research programs. It is the first time that UR students come to COSEto have an exchange which can promote the cooperation and friendship between thetwo universities and advance the internationalization of the college.


Based on the platform of Joint International Research Laboratory ofPhotonics (JIRLOP), the program aims to broaden students’ academic horizons.They were divided into 6 research groups which have one tutor and one seniorstudent. A best group was selected in the end.


Jiacheng, one of the UR students expressed his sincere thanks toCOSE for offering such a great opportunity and hope this program will attractmore students in the future.
