On June 23, 2018, the signing ceremony ofthe Joint Research Center of Sunny Smart Optics and Zhejiang University (ZJU) was held at Sunny Group Co. Ltd,Yuyao, Zhejiang.
At the signing ceremony, LIU Xiangdong, Dean of College of Optical Science and Engineering(COSE), and YE Liaoning,Chairman of Sunny Group, signed a joint agreement. With the construction of the Joint Research Center, the two sides will promote the growth ofZJU's leading talents in optical engineering and maintainSunny’s technological leadership in the future development based on theprinciple of "mutual benefit, complementary advantages, cooperation andinnovation, and common development".
During the event, LIU Xiangdong said it is the first time that somecollege reaches out and establishes a joint platformwith an enterprise both in thehistory of ZJU and Sunny Group with more than 30 years. He is full of expectation for the futurecooperation between two sides:"In the future, we should not forget the initial intentions, let the discipline continue tobe at the forefront, as well as contribute to the adjustment of the industrialstructure for Sunny Group to accelerate the realization of the 100-billion-yuangoal. We will live up to the expectations of older generation of COSE andSunny!"
