Congratulations to Prof. Sailing He and Prof. Wenyan Yin, who have been named a 2013 Fellow of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
 
Prof. Sailing He was recognized "for contributions to subwavelength photonics."
Prof. Wenyan Yin was recognized "for contributions to multi-physics solutions for intentional electromagnetic interference and nanostructure electromagnetic compatibility."

 Prof. Sailing He is currently the Director for the Sino-Swedish Joint Research Center of Photonics (JORCEP). After receiving his Ph.D. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology, he has worked at the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) as an assistant professor, an associate professor, and a full professor. Prof. He’s main research interest includes sub-wavelength photonics, fiber-based lightwave technologies, electromagnetic waves and applications. He has first-authored one monograph (Oxford University Press) and authored/co-authored over 400 papers in refereed international journals. Prof. He has served as General Chair (or Co-chair) for a number of international conferences, as well as in Steering Committee, Scientific Advisory Board or Technical Program Committee for numerous international congress/conferences and journals. Prof. He is a Fellow of IEEE, OSA (Optical Society of America) and SPIE (International Society for Optical Engineering), and a Topical Editor for Optics Letters and in the editorial board of "Laser & Photonics Reviews".

Wen-Yan Yin (M’99-SM’01) received his M.Sc. degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technique and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Xidian University (XU) in1989, and Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJU), Xi’an, China, in 1994. From April 2005, he jointed in School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, as a Chair Professor (to the end of 2008) in Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Techniques, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China. Since Jan.2009, he becomes Qiu Shi Chair Professor of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou of China, working at the Center for Optical and Electromagnetic Research.Dr. Yin is the Technical Chair of Electrical Design of Advanced Packaging and Systems-2006 (EDAPS’06), technically sponsored by IEEE CPMT Subcommittee; and he won the Best Paper Award of 2008 APEMC& 19th International Zurich Symp. on EMC in Singapore. Waves and Applications. As a leading author, he has published more than 160 international journal articles including 15 book chapters.
